
It takes a courageous artistes to take big shots like Willy M Tuva by their horns considering the structure of our crawling music industry, but this guy Lang’ Katalang surprised the media fraternity by telling off muzade on matters local airplay.
Unjustified rumour then went round the country that Katalang had been banned from media airplay in Kenyan.
The frustrated genge artiste and KA ZOTE hitmaker however didn’t seem moved by this until few months ago when he settled things with himself seeking forgiveness from Tuva and showing signs of wanting to get help from the Mseto East Africa founder. The apology was well received by Tuva who promised to help Katalang through his music career

Numerous weeks down the line Katalang has been able to release about 3 great videos and a couple of interviews with few local radios and tv stations.
Just the other day Lang Katalang shocked Nairobi when he emerged top in the just concluded Nairobi Music Awards Male Artiste of the Year category which he won with 43% beating Masterpiece who got 14% and Bandanah who only managed to gunner 0.07% of the total votes cast.

Katalang as it stands, is gradually climbing the showbiz ladders and its true to say he is a force to reckon with.
Whether the actual handshake between Mzazi Tuva and Katalang himself will materialize nobody knows. But lets wait and see .
Katalang however was announced winner in his absence, an event which took place at the Tom Mboya Hall.
